When purchasing, you need to make sure that the flowers are sufficiently mature: the buds must show their colour. In fact, here at La Marca Flowers, in order to ensure the highest quality, we pick the flowers very early every morning, so that the stems will be rich in moisture and have the ideal degree of flowering.
To cut them, we use sharp and clean knives, so as to make a clear cut and not crush the stems, thus allowing the correct absorption of water. Before placing the flowers in the vase, we recommend removing all the basal leaves until up to half of the stem and then make an oblique cut on it.
Changing clean water in the vase regularly is very important, even better to use specific preservatives to preserve the life of our beloved flowers as long as possible.
It is best to place the vase in a bright place, away from drafts and direct sunlight…..et voilà….it’s a done deal!
